It’s easy to become disconnected with clients. The internet has become the main way we keep in touch with clients. While the use of social media tools such as twitter, Facebook and Skype, are a convenient way to keep to stay in touch with clients…they’re also responsible for disconnecting us from those same clients on a personal level. A great way to re-connect with those clients and customers is through face to face interaction. Plan a business activity that includes meeting clients outside of the usual office environment.
 
A picnic, golf outing or a friendly game of softball is a great way to mix things up and solidify that business relationship on a more personal level.

  1.  Don’t bombard people with too many emails. Regardless of the content, if you’re sending out newsletters and emails too often, people will more often unsubscribe. A monthly newsletter is the best solution because it can be crammed full of valuable content. You can then send out the occasional extra email if it can’t wait and most people will stay subscribed.
  2.  It’s essential, that every email clearly helps brand you and your business. Include your logo in all emails. Add your signature and contact details in every email. Make sure you have an unsubscribe link clearly marked at the end of every email so you can’t be accused of spamming.
  3.  Regardless of how many people you send emails or newsletters to, including all this branding helps to establish your credibility and increases the likelihood of having your emails read. Use the same colors, style and font as that of your website and other material so you have consistent branding.
