Five Ways to Blow Up Your Marketing Efforts This Holiday Season.

Close

In case you haven’t noticed we’re in those lazy, hazy days of summer and as the 2013 summer season, as it in it’s peak right now and comes to a close, hopefully your business marketing efforts have brought you dividends and thrust your business forward into the fall.

But if for some reason, your marketing efforts haven’t paid the dividends you were expecting, here are five things that you can do today to light a fire and blow up your marketing efforts.

Meet Your Clients Face to Face

It’s easy to become disconnected with clients. The internet has become the main way we keep in touch with clients. While the use of social media tools such as twitter, Facebook and Skype, are a convenient way to keep to stay in touch with clients…they’re also responsible for disconnecting us from those same clients on a personal level. A great way to re-connect with those clients and customers is through face to face interaction. Plan a business activity that includes meeting clients outside of the usual office environment.

A picnic, golf outing or a friendly game of softball is a great way to mix things up and solidify that business relationship on a more personal level.

Take a Trip

Business meetings can become repetitive and almost robotic when they’re always held in the usual environment of the business office. Another great way to fire up your next business meeting with an important client is through a business vacation.
This is a fabulous way to add some fireworks to any business relationship. Why not take a business trip to New Orleans and mix business with pleasure. Sample some great local cuisine and take in a few local events, or how about a much needed retreat to one of the Hawaiian Islands such as Maui?

The idea isn’t that you have to go somewhere expensive or exotic; the idea is to just go and make that business meeting more of a break-a-way from the usual business meeting.

Of course there are also the usual things that are vital to keeping good relations with your business clients…

Pick up the Phone

Part of your marketing plan should involve a phone call to your clients at least once a month. This phone call doesn’t have to be all about business either (and it shouldn’t be) it can be just a regular call to see how your client and their family are, and if there’s anything that you can do for them as far as customer service is concerned.
You’d be surprised just how effective a simple phone call can be when trying to build a business relationship with both old and new clients and customers.

Write a Letter

In today’s fast paced business world, many people communicate through email, but what about the lost art of writing a simple yet effective letter to your business clients?

Writing an effective business letter and simply sending it out in the mail may be a lost art, but taking the time to write one to a client and sending it to them is guaranteed to impress.

Because you actually took the time to hand write that letter, that client will know that you value their business and the business relationship that you have established with them.

Introduce Social Media into their Marketing

Many businesses large and small still are on the fence when it comes to social media. Take the time to educate your clients about the great things they can do to interact with their prospective customers through social media.

Creating a simple Facebook Fan Page for their business is a very cost effective way to help any local business build better customer relations.

Posting things such as special events or promotions via coupons or simply having their customers hit the “Like” button on their business fan page is a simple way to not only build trust, but it’s also a great way for them to build their online brand.

So with the summer season ending and fall fast approaching, take advantage of these five simple ways to blow up your business marketing efforts and reap the rewards that come from strategic business marketing.
